One of my favourite trips of 2019 was my ‘bff’s’ trip to Prince Edward County. I love spending time in ‘the county.’ Whether it’s exploring the many emerging wineries, lounging in the sand at Sandbanks or noshing at one of the counties amazing restaurants, PEC is at the top of my list for a weekend getaway. But did you know that the county offers so much more than just eating, drinking and being lazy. From The Farm Cooking School offers cooking classes (technically eating I suppose) from their 1830’s farmhouse in Ameliasburgh. A half day class ($140.00) gives you a hands on experience in the kitchen, plus lunch in the dining room, a sampling of local wines, a From The Farm folder of recipes and beverages. The menu’s change weekly but include; Traditional Farm Country, Tuscan Farmhouse, Plant Based Cuisine amongst many others. This is a great gift to add-on to a weekend at Augustus House or The Drake Devonshire or fun addition to a girl getaway and perfect gift for the budding chef in your life. From The Farm also offers All Day Culinary Adventures (for between 2-6) and Private Group Classes.
