Holiday Gift Guide ~ Day Thirteen - Your Future Looks Bright

I know what you’re wondering…is it the dog, is it Liam Hemsworth? Sorry folks - neither is for sale on my gift guide. BUT the awesome Oliver Peoples shades are. To find out what’s hot in sunnies right now, I consulted with my friend Dennis at the Eye Studio on Mount Pleasant in Toronto. Whether I’m looking for new frames for my reading glasses or new sunglasses, Dennis is my go-to eyewear expert. For the new decade, Dennis suggests eyewear designer Oliver Peoples. For the guys, Dennis recommends the Cary Grant ($400.00), named after the frame that actor Cary Grant wore in the 1959 classic film North By Northwest. Bold and sexy, if you want my opinion (on the glasses obvi).
For the ladies, Dennis recommends the Marianela ($400.00), a sleek and feminine cat eye that’s both simple, yet chic. These are beautiful for the beach as well as for the sunny days in the city. Time to ditch the aviators ladies. Now if I only had her pout. I have Oliver Peoples frames for reading, so I can personally attest to how awesome and durable their glasses are.
