Holiday Gift Guide 2020 - Day Three

Holiday Gift Guide 2020 - Day Three

Holiday Gift guide (1).PNG

What a weekend of staying indoors and shopping online! Well one of those is true…I shopped online, but I took advantage of the weather and got outside taking beautiful walks at the Bluffers Beach and Sunnybrook Park. Both fab locations in the city, and as you can see from you pics below…not at all crowded.

Enough about me…I hope you were able to enjoy the incredible weekend weather. Now let’s get back to the Gift Guide. Day Three…let’s go…

One of the most popular days in last years ‘day by day’ Gift Guide was Day Eight - Dad, which was all about the Dad sweatshirt from one of my favourite Leslieville shops Province of Canada. I think there might have been several Dad’s in Leaside sporting their new sweatshirt on Christmas Day last year. Not only did I buy my husband one, I bought myself the Mom - how sweet is that!! This year it’s all about the colour block sweatsuit - and Province of Canada has killed it with their styles. No cropped sweatshirts here - thank God! They’re cyber week sale is still on until the 30th (today) for 20% off all orders over $100. So go ahead, buy yourself that Mom sweatshirt this year!

Not only does Province of Canada love Au Lit Fine Linens, I do too! Not only because they carry some of the most luscious bed linens in the city, but the owner happens to be Joanna Goodman - author of three amazing books including The Home for Unwanted Girls and her newest The Forgotten Daughter. I highly recommend both if you’re looking for additions to your winter reading list. Au Lit’s website has an amazing gift list section that includes cozy pyjamas, luxe cashmere robes and gorgeous silk pillowcases.

Looking for a special gift for a hip baby in your life? August Kinn’s online boutique should be your first stop this year. Located on the Danforth (for pick ups), August Kinn carries a perfectly curated collection for baby and even a few things for mom including the ever popular Smash + Tess Rompers. They’re online boutique is amazing and includes lot’s of choice. I really like this because not every online shop is represents the store completely.

There would be no Christmas, birthdays, Valentine’s Day or any day for that matter if it didn’t include Snapdragon. I love Snapdragon and I know most of my friends and readers do too. Owner Pam always has the best cashmere, resort wear (for when we can travel) and cottage wear (so we can look great stepping off the boat at the marina). Pam also carries a beautiful selection of boho jewellery and amazing bags from fashionable points all over the globe.

A new-ish and very welcome addition to Mount Pleasant Village is Collected Joy - a cute-as-a-button shop with a thoughtful collection of gifts and quite possibly the best selection of greeting cards in the city. But wait - Collected Joy also has a location on Kingston Road in Kingston Road Village, so there’s double the goodness! Collected Joy carries so many awesome lines including; Lovefresh, Wildly Delicious, Jenny Bird, and Delish Cosmentics just to name a few. They also have a fab selection of puzzles, and who doesn’t have a puzzle going on their dining room table right now?

That’s a wrap for today…more local goodness coming your way tomorrow!

P.S. To all of you amazing people who have subscribed - remember that you’ll only receive daily posts from me during the Holiday Gift Guide season. Otherwise posts are infrequent - maybe once every few weeks or so.

Thanks for sticking with me!
