I had the pleasure of meeting Heather from Dotty Clothing many moons ago when I used to sell Stella & Dot. She’s bright, cheery and perpetually in a good mood - my kind of person. Her uber successful booth a the One of a Kind Show is always one of my favourite stops and I know Heather is missing the show this year, as are all of us who make it part of our yearly holiday traditions. Heather has expertly switched gears to her online shop and until November 30th (at midnight) she offering 20% off her whole collection (with the exception of the custom sweatshirt scarf - which would make a great gift). I took advantage of the sale and bought a pair of Dotty’s newest designs - the Cotton Jogger. They’re the perfect pant for lazy lockdown days - if you’re still wearing pants that is!

Another fabulous booth the One of a Kind show is Coal and Canary. Made in Manitoba, this award winning candle company makes a highly giftable soy and vegetable wax blend candles with a unique wooden wick that crackle like fire. Choose from sweetly name scents like Ginger Bell Rock, May Your Days Be Minty and Bright and All I Want Fir XMas (my personal fave). Saskia de Vires Handmade is a jewellery designer who loves to create pieces you never have to take off. I love these sweet “believe” bracelets - Stakia’s take on the fun friendship bracelet made with sterling silver curb chain and Italian silk. They look great layered with your favourite silver stack!
VICKI RECOMMENDS:
There’s no rule that say’s gifts have to be new - especially if they’re vintage or in this case designer. I’m a big fan of designer consignment and my first stop to buy or sell is Vanessa at Hazel Lily Designer Consignment. Some of you might be familiar with Hazel Lily from the post I wrote FOUR years ago. Wow…I’ve been writing this blog for a loooong time. Vanessa now runs Hazel Lily as a successful home based business since becoming a mom. I’ve been lucky enough to score some awesome finds by Chloe and Smyth from Hazel Lily. Hey bath fans…this one’s for you! Gold Apothecary specializes in “high quality, plant based essential oil blends, herbs and extracts using ingredients which are consciously sourced and cruelty-free.” I love that and you should too. Who doesn’t need a long soak after a long WFH day? The packaging is so giftable you don’t even need to wrap it…just pop on a bow and you’re all set.

Early in my Keep Toronto Warm clothing drive for New Circles I received a DM from Jacinta Tellis - a Poppy & Peonies influencer. She wanted to donate a prize to my clothing drive raffle after coming across She Shops Swap on Instagram. This was a huge thrill for me and Jacinta graciously donated TWO fabulous bags to my raffle. Flowers are always a great giftable idea and they’re a perfect gift for yourself as well. Attagirl! Blooms designs gorgeous floral arrangements as well as creating beautiful seasonal urns for your home. Owner Vivianna Tellis creates her arrangements by floral sentiment. For example, the arrangement below (which Vivianna gracioulsy brought me as a thank you for this feature) includes; Boxwood (Longevity) Cedar (Friendship) Lisianthus (my favourite - Appreciation and Orchids (Beauty + Friendship) just to name some of them.
