One of my favourite trips of 2019 was my ‘bff’s’ trip to Prince Edward County. I love spending time in ‘the county.’ Whether it’s exploring the many emerging wineries, lounging in the sand at Sandbanks or noshing at one of the counties amazing restaurants, PEC is at the top of my list for a weekend getaway.
I just realized that I’ve never written a word on this site about my trip to London last August. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen pics from trip - but I’ve never really summarized it for you. Well here’s my summary: Fortum & Mason.
I’ve recently spent some time on a girl’s getaway in Prince Edward County and it very quickly came to my attention that several of my super loyal readers were planning girls weekends and getaways for themselves. I’m thrilled you’ve loved my PEC iterary and Insta pics, so I thought it might be a good idea to provide you with my favourite spots in 'The County’ so you can experience them while the goodness is still super fresh in my head.
If you’re planning on taking an overnight flight this summer, then it’s best to prepare yourself so you don’t become the reason the flight is called the ‘red eye’. I’ve been doing a little research about best practices for overnight flights for an upcoming trip I’m taking later this summer.
Since we’re coming up on summer vacay season, and many of you (including me) will be renting AirBnB’s instead of traditional hotels, I thought it might be worthwhile to go through some basic AirBnB etiquette. AirBnB’s ARE NOT hotels, so you shouldn’t expect the same level of service that you would receive in a hotel.
There’s a new (but not really) kid on the block in the swish downtown Toronto hotel wars - if there is actually a war between the hotels. The St. Regis Toronto (formerly Trump Hotel - icky) recently opened it’s doors after an extensive renovation to remover all the Trumpiness from it’s rooms and restos.
Some of you might find this statement rather shocking coming from me, but alas sometimes words don’t come to me. Call it ‘writers block’ if that’s a term that’s more familiar and it definitely sums up the feeling…but I prefer to simply say ‘the words just aren’t coming”.
Can you even believe the long weekend is upon us already? Where has May gone? May is my favourite month of the year. Not only is it the start of Spring, but then there's Mother's Day, my birthday and of course my namesake holiday weekend.
It just hit me...it's almost vacay time! I've been so preoccupied with day to day life that I've barely had a moment to think about my upcoming sojourn at the beach. So this morning I decided I'd start by organizing my sunscreen collection. That's right...collection. I'm a sunscreen hoarder.
