Holiday Gift Guide ~ Day Six ~ Fancy a Cuppa?
I just realized that I’ve never written a word on this site about my trip to London last August. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen pics from trip - but I’ve never really summarized it for you. Well here’s my summary: Fortum & Mason. If you haven’t heard of Fortnum’s (as the Brits call it) it’s one of GB’s premier department stores specializing in gourmet food and luxury items. Established in 1707, Fortnum’s is synonymous with the highest quality gourmet foods. I love the tea from Fortnum’s and am very sad that my stash is dwindling. Yes…I bought five months supply in case you were doing the math.
A specialty of Fortnum’s are their gift hampers (don’t say basket). They are beautifully crafted wicker hampers with leather handles made by Coates English Willow in Somerset and filled with a beautiful selection of quality food and drinks including; chocolates, biscuits, jams and jellies, and other fine foods. Fortnum’s offers worldwide shipping, but The Burlington Hamper (shown above) can be bought for $450.00 at Holt Renfrew stores across Canada. This gorgeous hamper even includes a teapot and biscuit platter.
