Holiday Gift Guide ~ Day Five - Warm Feet, Warm Heart
For a girl who spends most of her time in bare feet (winter included) I’m unnaturally obsessed with with the beautiful Alpaca work socks I recently bought at Moore House Fine Alpacas in Fewick Ontario. Work socks are super trendy now and I personally like wearing them when I need to keep my feet toasty warm - like at the arena, or walking the dog. I picked up an Alpaca wool pair at the farm not really thinking much of it - I personally liked the dark grey solid colour as opposed to the salt n’ pepper look you find at Roots or Sporting Life. Since visiting the farm and learning all about the quirky and adorable Alpaca was free - I thought buying a souvenir at the shop was a nice gesture. Little did I know how amazing these socks would be. Unlike wool -which can be a little scratchy to the touch, alpaca is extremely soft and warm. Beyond the awesome work socks, they also make socks for skiing and skating, in both long and short styles. Alpaca socks can be put in the washing machine, but need to be hung to dry or else they’ll only be good for the baby. Socks can be a funny gift when unwrapped…maybe even a bit disappointing, but trust me - in a month the recipient will come back to you and tell you how much they love them.
