Holiday Gift Guide ~ Day Nineteen - Kiss n' Makeup, or just Makeup!
I remember a girlfriend telling me a very funny story about the first time her daughter put on her own makeup. She walked down the stairs from her bedroom (where she’d be for hours) excessively made up and heavily contoured - but ready to head to Grandma’s house. “Hmmmm” thought my girlfriend, “maybe she watched one too many Kardashian You Tube tutorials.”
I don’t have a daughter, so I’ve never had to tread the murky waters of makeup application, but if I did I would be sending her to Bloom Beauty for a Teen Makeup Lesson. Bloom Beauty is sweet cosmetics and personal beauty boutique that specializes in clean and natural makeup and skin care. They only use and sell clean cosmetics and personal care products. Some of the lines they carry include; Lily Lolo, Saint, Ere Perez and Indie Lee to name just a few. A Teen Makeup Lesson ($75) includes a lesson on how to care for hormonal young skin, as well as a makeup application for a ‘no-makeup’ (my favourite) look which is suitable for school, as well as a party look. If Mom would a lesson for herself ($110), she can join in too and learn Bloom’s signature 5 minute face as well as an evening look. Pick up a Bloom Beauty Gift Card for some fun shopping at the end of the lesson.
I think this is one of my favourite gift suggestions so far…and I’m planning a visit to Bloom in the New Year for a clean makeup lesson for myself.
