SHE SHOPS SWAP - The Event

“75ish people went out on a rainy Tuesday night in March…you’ve got something there.” NH

The only thing missing from that sweet endorsement is this: and then some of them found a corner or slipped behind a table and stripped right down to their skivvies and tried on clothes in a brewery. That’s the spirit of the first She Shops Swap. I couldn’t have asked for a better turn out for the inaugural event. It was a night of friendship, no judgement, good laughs and pre owned clothes, all in an effort to change our consumption habits and explore new ways to shop or ‘swap’ for clothing. All the clothing that was not swapped (about 15%) is being donated to New Circles Glow program.

Thank you so much to all those who participated and to my amazing team of volunteers who helped set up and turn my vision into a reality, especially Robyn Israel who was with me when the idea sparked (over lunch on Bayview) and managed the floor like a dream on event night. And to those who couldn’t make it…start clearing out your closets; She Shops Swap Sping/Summer will be coming your way in early June. You heard it here first!
