Top 5 - Ordered From Amazon

Top 5 - Ordered From Amazon

Untitled Design.PNG.JPG.PNG

Ordering from Amazon is so much fun! Actually ordering ANYTHING online is so much fun! I love receiving parcels at the door and it’s so nice to be greeted by name from the Purolator and UPS delivery men. ;) Sometime it’s my only human interaction in a day until my son get’s home from school. (Kidding not kidding). Admittedly I am little late to the Amazon game, but I’m good at playing catch up…trust me. I find that it’s so easy to shop and compare things I might otherwise have to go to several stores for. On a recent Prime Day (Amazon’s version of the twice a year Nordstrom sale) I even bought two things NOT on sale. Mind you, I don’t endlessly scroll Amazon on Prime Day. I tend get tips from other bloggers, some in the U.S. - so what’s on sale there might not necessarily be on sale here in Canada, but I still NEED it. See…I get influenced too!

Here are my Top 5 recent Amazon finds (clockwise from top left).

Sunbeam Express Heat King Heating Pad - $34.99

I graduated from water bottles to heating pads about twenty two years ago. I remember that because the first heating pad I ever tried was at my in-law’s. I thought it was pretty fancy over the old fashioned water bottle, so I bought one and literally used it for twenty two years. When it finally stopped heating up, I took to Amazon and chose the Sunbeam Heat King. I love the fact that it has an automatic switch off so if I fall asleep with it on and it will turn off in two hours. As a sufferer of chronic migraines and Ulcerative Colitis - the heating the pad is the best friend of my neck, back and belly. The pad is super big so it covers the whole surface of my back. A great find!

Fancii 10X Magnifying Mirror - $33.99

First of all this mirror is called Fancii - so why wouldn’t you buy anything called fancy (with two ii’s)? I realized I was in desperate (yes, desperate) need of a magnifying mirror when I had to put my reading glasses on when applying my eye makeup. Think about how tricky it is to put mascara on with glasses in the way. I’d always admired the magnifying mirrors in hotel bathrooms - they made make-up application so easy, never mind staring at your HUGE pores for minutes on end. Since I didn’t want to give up valuable real estate on my bathroom vanity, the Fancii was the perfect choice. The mirror has a powerful locking suction that adheres to my bathroom mirror. I hate the term ‘game changer’ but this mirror has been a total game changer. It hasn’t slipped off the mirror since I installed it and it has natural daylight LED, perfect for advanced pore study and makeup application :)

Yogavni Zafu Meditation Cushion - $53.17

I understand not everyone is going to be in the market for a meditation cushion…but you never know. When I started my meditation course seven weeks ago (see Instagam posts for more deets) I struggled with finding a sitting posture that was comfortable and that I could hold for up to fourty five minutes. After some research, I decided on a mediation cushion. Amazon had a good selection of different styles with different fills, but the buckwheat filled Yogavin has worked for me. It has a convenient handle on the side of the cushion that makes it easy to carry to class.

Anker Portable Charger - $49.99

When my son moved to University last September he basically took every decent gadget we had in the house. I don’t blame him - I would have too. So it was time to start replacing some of the gadgets and with a big trip coming up soon, I knew I needed a decent portable charger. I like the Anker because it’s compatible with iPhone and Samsung Galaxy. It has two ports, so no more fighting with your kid or your partner over who is going to charge first. It’s also an Amazon Choice product, which means Amazon highly recommends it. Heck, if it’s good enough for Jeff…it’s good enough for me. Click here is you don’t get that.

AmazonBasics Nylon iPhone Charger - $13.20

I think I got this awesome charger (recommended by another blogger) for 12 bucks on Prime Day. Wooooo - such savings no? I’m going to put that buck twenty toward my next Tim’s coffee. Truth be told - I really like the way these nylon chargers look, sale or no sale. You still have to go out and buy the brick…but the chord looks cool plugged into my new Anker Portable Charger. What? Some things you buy because they look good - even electronics. I haven’t experienced any glitches with it (as stated in some of the reviews) but we’ll see how it goes. You always get what you pay for.

If you have any thoughts on my Amazon purchases or have amazing reco’s of your own…let me know!

Until then…Happy Amazoning! (Add that to your vocabulary - sorry, busy amazoning today!)
