The maxi dress is having a moment, and that moment couldn’t have come at a better time! I’ve alway been a mini dress kinda girl, and then something called gravity hit my kness and oh fuck - I suddenly I became a maxi dress kinda woman (short of knee lift of course - is there such a thing?). After several deep breaths and reluctantly accepting my ever changing body (enjoy your knees while you have them ladies!), I started trying on some maxi dresses for a summer wedding I’m attending. I have to admit…I was super happy with the look. I’ve been through the maxi trend before - late 90’s I think, but I can confidently say that this is one trend that works well on all bodies and all ages. THANK FREAKING GOD!

A maxi dress is long dress that generally will graze the ankles or the floor. This style is not to be confused with the midi dress that falls between your knees (covering the knees - thank you very much) and your ankles.
