Sheet Mask 101

Sheet Mask 101

Do you like masks? I mean facial masks...not Halloween masks. I love them and they are a regular part of my Sunday night facial cleansing routine. I generally choose something hydrating and cleansing that works on fine lines. Pop the goop on my face for twenty minutes and voila, good for a week. Recently though, I discovered sheet masks and they've completely won me over.

Sheet masks originated in Korea and a part of the uber popular K Beauty trend. These individually wrapped paper facial masks are soaked with yummy skin serums targeting areas such as hydration, fine lines and firmness.  I've recently tried several of the Masker Aide brand masks (did you catch my Instastory?) and have been so thrilled with the results that I've incorporated them into my routine a few times a week. Masker Aide masks come in sweet packaging with names like Weather Warrior (perfect for after the beach or skiing), I Don't Wanna Grow Up (targeting fine lines), and All Nighter (for the morning after you've had one too many).  The masks are saturated with all natural ingredients like ylang-ylang oil, vitamin e, aloe, green tea and witch hazel. Results after a fifteen minute application are immediate and last all day. My skin feels firm and clear.  I particularly like the Masker Aide line because of their commitment to better beauty with no parabens, mineral oil or sulphates added. Masks are all fragrance free and eco friendly. The actual masks are 100% biodegradable and the packaging in recyclable.

Masker Aid masks are available to purchase on their site.
