31 Day Blog Challenge - Day Five

Day Five - My guilty pleasure. 

Last night while watching Hockey Wives I was completely overwhelmed by today's topic. Guilty pleasure? What exactly is a guilty pleasure? And why should I feel guilty for something that brings me pleasure anyway?  I still couldn't think of anything when I suddenly I found myself yelling back to the TV. "Seriously Maripier, are you going to rail on Brandon the whole show???!!!!" Ah...yes, the Hockey Wives you girls are definitely my guilty pleasure.   

In case you didn't know...Hockey Wives follows the lives of six (stunning) women either married to, or dating pro hockey players. Watching them complain about their fabulous lives is what keeps me coming back - obvi. If you can believe it, Hockey Wives is actually on Season Three! So there's more people than just me that watch this shit. Oh yes...I know it's complete shit for the brain, but I can't tear myself away. Every Wednesday night at 10 p.m. I  find myself thinking "boo fucking hoo" after some hottie complains that her life is so difficult because she's basically a single parent. Meanwhile her kids are running in and out of the pool and hot tub in their giant backyard in suburban Minnesota - or wherever! Ah honey, I don't think you actually have anything to complain about. Sadly I find myself missing some of the 'wives' from previous seasons, namely Noureen DuWulf who is married to Vancouver Canuks goaltender Ryan Miller and Martine Bernier who is married to our own ex-Leaf Jonathan Bernier. N Both were completely adorable and highly entertaining.  And of course I would be completely remiss if I didn't mention my absolute favourite wife ever...Kodette LaBarberra's famous line "what rhymes with sorry...Chanel - that's what." Ah Kodette...I miss you!

P.S. I would feel guilty if I was watching The Real Housewives of Toronto...thankfully I dropped that after the first episode!
