It's holiday party time and I'm looking for something cute to wear to holiday parties as well as dinners with family and friends.  My budget is limiting me to one outfit, so it needs to work for both events. Can you help?

Dear Holiday Style Challenged,

So here were are...December already!  Where did the year go?  We have so many things going on; school concerts, shopping, parties, dinners with friends and of course endless drinks and food.  So a quick and easy style fix is just what you need. I'm suggesting two options for you to choose from.  Option A is fool proof, an absolute no-brainer. Glittery top, skinny black pants, great cuff bracelet and earrings. You can choose to wear flats for fashion and comfort, or go for a sleek black pump. If you're out to dinner, toss on a black jacket for a more festive and less party look. You can't go wrong with this option and glittery tops are available everywhere at holiday time.  For a fab slim black pant I would suggest my favourite, the Martie pant from JCrew. It's a perfectly fit and cropped, four season pant and it's on sale for Cyber Monday for only $82. Thank you Jenna Lyons for practically giving them away. :) 

For an edgier look I would suggest Option B.  A loose flowy black pant and jacket offsets a very cute holiday graphic tee.  Pair this look with a fabulous statement necklace, this one is the Sutton from Stella & Dot. Toss on a some cute rock and roll inspired jewels (also from Stella &Dot) with a nice high heel and you're set to go.  I absolutely love this look, it's totally me but you can borrow it.  Don't be afraid to add a little edge to the holidays. This is fun time, inject that vibe into your wardrobe.
