I just realized that I’ve never written a word on this site about my trip to London last August. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen pics from trip - but I’ve never really summarized it for you. Well here’s my summary: Fortum & Mason.

I just realized that I’ve never written a word on this site about my trip to London last August. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen pics from trip - but I’ve never really summarized it for you. Well here’s my summary: Fortum & Mason.
For a girl who spends most of her time in bare feet (winter included) I’m unnaturally obsessed with with the beautiful Alpaca work socks I recently bought at Moore House Fine Alpacas in Fewick Ontario. Work socks are super trendy now and I personally like wearing them when I need to keep my feet toasty warm - like at the arena, or walking the dog.
Sometimes I think this gift guide is actually just the top twenty four things I really want for Christmas. :)
Now that you’ve had a wonderful night’s sleep on your slik pillowcase (day three) it’s time for a gradual and graceful morning wakeup. This is assuming of course that you don’t have any babies in the house. In that case you need to come back to this gift in fifteen years or so.
Jonesing to wake up after a long (or short) night’s sleep looking like Sleeping Beauty, or Giselle Bundchen? It’s as easy as switching to a silk pillowcase. Well…not that easy, but it’s a start. Now I’m not talking the cheesy silk sheet sets from the 1970’s that may or may not have graced your parent’s waterbed.
Wow…yesterday was a very big Day One. I had tons of feed back on how awesome the Tree to Table experience is. I hope it’s not all down hill from here. While I was passionate about yesterday’s experience gift, I’m equally excited about today’s.
Experience. If you ask me it’s the buzz word of 2019. Nobody seems to want gifts anymore (except me of course) they want ‘experiences’. So imagine how happy I was when in my first ten minutes of The One of a KInd Show I found you an award winning experience that combines the outdoors with food and friends in this beautiful province of ours!
I usually get very excited when shopping for something new that I actually need. But snow boots, meh…they kinda suck to shop for given that it usually means winter is on the way. I need my snows to be actual workhorse boots - especially suited for walking the dog in all types of weather and to keep my toes warm in the hockey rinks that can become super frosty in the winter months.
In case you haven’t had a chance to check out my Current Reads or Current Podcasts section, I’ve decide to add my reviews to the main body of my blog so that you’ll never miss a new review. Isn’t that nice of me?
Dear Jess Allen,
I’m so sorry you had a bad experience with hockey in your youth. I did too. Yep - the popular hockey players didn’t want to date me. I didn’t get to wear their melton and leather jacket around the halls of the high school. I didn’t get to wait for them at the dressing room door for the victory kiss…like other girls did.
Megan Markle wears a denim dress and the world goes crazy. I would hazard a guess that J. Crew is very happy right now, seeing as they’ve fallen into some difficult times after the exit of long time creative director (and my personal muse) Jenna Lyons.
Colonoscopy. I’m afraid that sometimes I have to tackle the shitty subjects too. Ok, no more shitty jokes (insert eye roll here) let’s get to the ‘bottom’ of this subject. :)
I’ve recently spent some time on a girl’s getaway in Prince Edward County and it very quickly came to my attention that several of my super loyal readers were planning girls weekends and getaways for themselves. I’m thrilled you’ve loved my PEC iterary and Insta pics, so I thought it might be a good idea to provide you with my favourite spots in 'The County’ so you can experience them while the goodness is still super fresh in my head.
