I just realized that I’ve never written a word on this site about my trip to London last August. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen pics from trip - but I’ve never really summarized it for you. Well here’s my summary: Fortum & Mason.

Experience. If you ask me it’s the buzz word of 2019. Nobody seems to want gifts anymore (except me of course) they want ‘experiences’. So imagine how happy I was when in my first ten minutes of The One of a KInd Show I found you an award winning experience that combines the outdoors with food and friends in this beautiful province of ours!
I’ve recently spent some time on a girl’s getaway in Prince Edward County and it very quickly came to my attention that several of my super loyal readers were planning girls weekends and getaways for themselves. I’m thrilled you’ve loved my PEC iterary and Insta pics, so I thought it might be a good idea to provide you with my favourite spots in 'The County’ so you can experience them while the goodness is still super fresh in my head.
Since the Raptors have started the playoffs, game nights at my house have seen my family room full of teenage boys watching the game and playing endless rounds of mini sticks. I thought it might be nice to treat the boys to some fun snacks - that don’t have to be healthy.
So let me just start by staying this; it’s too late to get a reservation at a decent King West restaurant for Valentine’s Day - so let’s just move right on to to fabulous gifts for you to buy your sweetheart that' she’ll totally appreciate along with the pizza you’ll be ordering in.
As I sit down to write this I’m peeling the top off of a single use plastic package of hummus…(insert eye roll here) to eat with my Mary’s crackers. This was the internal dilemma I faced when I was recently asked to join the Facebook group Plastic Free February; how am I ever going to give up all the little conveniences in my life that are conveniently wrapped in plastic?
What’s the best way to beat the winter blah’s? Why eat delicious food of course! Reservations are now open for Toronto’s semi annual restaurant festival Winterlicous. The other side of that equation being of course Summerlicious.
Lately I'm all about 'fast casual' dining. Fast casual is not fast food. I'm not talking about whether I prefer a Big Mac or a Whopper here, but if pressed - I would choose the Big Mac. That special sauce after all.
So...have you had enough of the Royal Wedding? Did you wake up at 5 a.m. on Saturday to watch Oprah arrive? I did. Which dress did you prefer? The ceremony dress or the evening dress? I think I'll save my opinion for a Best Dressed post later this week.
Can you even believe the long weekend is upon us already? Where has May gone? May is my favourite month of the year. Not only is it the start of Spring, but then there's Mother's Day, my birthday and of course my namesake holiday weekend.
Just posting the above photo of the Wiener Schnitzle at Barnsteiner's makes my mouth water. My husband and I discovered this great resto when looking for a place to eat at Yonge & St. Clair before doing some Christmas shopping last December.
I received a text from my sister in law yesterday mentioning that she told a new coworker about Glimmer (spreading the Glimmer Love - thank you).
