All in Recently I Read
I know you think all my articles this week are going to be about love. Well guess what? They’re not. But, they are about something that I love very much - our planet and how we can be better citizens of it. It is my sincere hope that we can take care of it long enough that many future generations will be able to love it as I do.
In the past couple of weeks I’ve taken a deep dive into the Ronan Farrow’s world and his investigation of Harvey Weinstein and NBC via his book Catch and Kill AND his Catch and Kill Podcast. It’s fascination to read about the far reaching cover-ups that took place in the entertainment industry and the lengths and money that were used to silence women for decades.
I find I’m not spending as much time on Facebook these days, hence my scrolling is down by probably 50%…ok maybe 25% if I’m being honest. This is a really good thing!
TBH recently I haven’t read much of anything. It’s been a couple of busy weeks; sick dog, sick kids (one here, one way out there) a couple of interviews for articles, a musical at Soulpepper, and a party to plan for this weekend.
I’m in between books..ack! I even hate saying that. But I finished Bitter Orange last weekend and am waiting for a bit of quiet time to sit down and start The Dutch Wife. Until then here are some of the tidbits around the web that caught my eye.
Tis the season for making a cuppa, grabbing a cozy blanket and curling up with a really good book. Come to think of it, that’s pretty much every season for me. Or you can just perch your computer on your lap and scroll through Facebook for the best articles.
There's something so wrong, yet so right about sitting on a beach with your computer. Hey, if you have work to do...or just want to do some reading - just do it, who cares what people think.
So much sadness in the news that some days I can't even bare to pick up the newspaper or scroll through my Facebook feed. Nevertheless, I have come across some things that you might find interesting to read and useful in your life.
