There’s an old Italian saying goes something like this; Se chiedi Gucci…potresti ottenere Gucci. It roughly translates to; If you ask for Gucci…you might get Gucci! Feel free to insert you favourite Italian luxury designer in place of Gucci. Maybe Prada, Valentino, Ferragamo or my current obsession Bottega Veneta. In my past gift guides I’ve always included an indulgent luxury item for fun, so I couldn’t (in good conscience) leave it out this year.

I’m a big fan of classic pieces whether it be clothing, shoes or accessories. It’s rare (never acutally) that you’ll ever see me with a handbag that’s heavily branded, embellished or chained. A Chanel bag would be the ONLY exception to the chain rule…obvi. I love Celine and Chloe, but there’s a Bottega Veneta bag that’s been occupying my thoughts of late. It’s simply called The Pouch. Now I have a couple of cute clutch bags, my favourite leopard Clare V is a go to bag for nights out. I’ve even carried it when wearing jeans, a tee and flip flops in the summer time. But The Pouch ($3786.00 - sneaking that in there) is next level chic. It’s soft and supple calfskin (sorry vegans - don’t hate me) and fits under your arm like a custom made glove. It comes in a rainbow of colours, but the Cammello (above) and Black are my faves. There is also a smaller version The Pouch 20 {$1955.00 - downright reasonable ;)} that comes with a think strap for cross body.

A girl can, and should dream…right?
