January is a funny time to shop for clothes. The winter styles have started to go on sale, and the spring colours and fabrics are suddenly dotted between the sweaters. I like the spring release as a sneak peek for what’s to come later in March/April when the real drop of Spring/Summer happens. Joe Fresh is always a great stop if you need to pick up a couple of fresh transition items, but don’t want to break the bank. It’s also a good choice if you need to add a few things to your winter vacay wardrobe. Here are my faves from the current line at Joe, plus a few ‘can’t pass up’ sale items.

Melton Moto Jacket - $59

My Joe posts are always a big hit, and that serves as a reminder that you like great style at an affordable price. Well this little moto jacket literally dragged me (and my shopping cart) away from our spot in line at my local Loblaws. Handed to you on a silver platter - and only $59.00 is this amazing little jacket. It comes in black, grey and a very sweet powder blue. This is such a great ‘go to’ piece for the spring, and I’m a huge fan of the moto style. If you can only buy one thing in January (hope you haven’t used up your buy already)…this is it. Trust!

Stripe Shirt Dress - $34

This stripped shirt dress is the perfect piece to add to your winter vacation wardrobe IF you’re into preppy style…I am. This is a crisp, clean look with a pair of strappy tan sandals or white sneakers. Cute.

Stripe Front Print Blouse - $29

I’m having intense mixed feeling about this top. I love the strong stripe and pattern mix BUT it might be one of those styles that screams '“you got that a Joe Fresh'“ which is fine if you’re fine with that. I also believe that the floral pattern is used in other spring items at Joe - so it runs the risk of ‘everyone’ wearing it. The moral of the story is - I like the pattern and strip mix, but maybe not from Joe. Sorry if I’ve offended anyone…just speaking my truth.

Distressed Classic Slim Denim - $34.00

I like Joe denim because it allows me to size down, especially if it’s a style that has lycra in it. Truth be told, most denim does these days because manufacturers have figured out that we like to move in our jeans. Joe Fresh jeans also happens to be the right length for me. And these days if they’re too long, I literally grab the scissors and lob off the bottom. for a fringy look that gets better with washings. This styles come that way already and happen to hit slightly above the ankle - just where I like ‘em.

V Neck Sweatshirt - $29

I love cozy sweatshirts and the v neck on this style drew me in. It’s simple, allows you to show off your fave necklace, and available in navy or red. Nothing else to say. :)
