Day Thirty - Favourite Comfort Food

Whoever wrote this list forgot that Day 7 was my favourite foods. So without looking back, I'm going to just assume there's some comfort food on there. Ok so I peeked...I guess pasta would definitely be a comfort food...or maybe a delish macaroni and cheese (not on that list). Not Kraft Dinner, but a nice homemade one. The Belzise Public House on Mt. Pleasant makes a yummy one if you're ever craving.  But I guess I could once again dig into my childhood vault (are you bored of it yet?) and chat for a moment about a chicken and rice dish my mother used to make. We called it Chicken Cacciatore - the Polish version. The chicken was boiled which made it really tender and it would fall off right off the bone into a delish light brown gravy. I have no clue what was in that gravy, but what I do know is that she finished it off with a huge dollop of sour cream (obvi).  The she spooned that chicken and gravy over the softest white rice. This was my favourite meal as a child and for some reason or other she always made it on Halloween. I guess maybe she figure it was good for you before all that candy.
