White Hot!
I don't belong to a book club because I don't like being told what to read. I like to pick a book that I'm interested in and read it on my own time. So imagine my surprise when I found out a party I'm going to this week is a "wear white" party. If I don't like being told what to read...do think I like being told what to wear? Not so much! But instead of resisting and stomping away in a huff, I've decided to embrace the party theme and in doing so I've discovered a new love of white on white.
I've always adored a white shirt, white tee's and white jeans. All of these pieces are staples in my wardrobe, but I've never considered wearing them together. When thinking about the "wear white" party, I'd like to think that I could elevate my white outfit a little from a standard jeans and tee. So if you're heading to a white party this summer, or even the same one I'm going to this week, here are a few suggestions for your outfit planning.
The outfit on the left (above) is called "chic white." White denim (notice they are flared and not skinny - for a change) a sexy off the shoulder top (if long enough this can also be worn as a dress), high silver shoes, your biggest diamonds (or cz's - for most of us) and cute little clutch. The clutch is where I added a hit of my favourite colour - black. Glam it up a bit.
The outfit of the right is called "boho white." I've paired a white eyelet inspired skirt with a white tank, cute sandals, peace sign earring and an adorable boho clutch. Two very different looks...both white as snow and perfectly pristine for the party.
Not sure what I'll be wearing on party night...but I'll Instagram it when it comes together! In the mean time, if you're shopping up on Bayview, pop into Must Boutique and check out some of their sweet white tops.
Nothing is fresher than white linen in the summer. This little linen jacket would be adorable with a white tank underneath. Pair with white jeans or cropped pants.
How romantic is this lacy tank? I would love to see it with flared white denim and sandals for another boho look.
This top almost looks angelic. And while you'll never hear me suggest white leggings again, I think they would be perfectly paired here.
