Best in Rain Boots

So if April showers bring May flowers...what does April snow bring? Apparently we've had more snow in April than we had in any other month this winter in Toronto. Big huge boo I say!  But the weather is looking up, and there's likely to be some showers heading our way at some point. Rain demands rain boots because soggy feet are no fun. Luckily there are many fab brands and styles to choose from. Though I'm a die hard tall black Hunter fan...I give you my best in rain boots. Tall black Hunter's not included...they're just too obvious to make the list.

I was a preppy girl in the 80's...so my Tretorn sneakers were standard issue. I happen to think these Tretorn Classic Chelsea Rain Boots should be too. I love the wedge heal and patent is very chic. There are definitely not dog walking rain boots. Think more along the lines of it's raining but I'm going to lunch and still want to look good.

You didn't think I wasn't going to include any tall black rain boots did you? I think these are quite sexy for rain boots. The ankle has some shape to it that many rain boots don't. The Riding Rain Boot from Rag & Bone also has a side zip that you can't see from this angle. Love the subtle ankle embellishment and red accent.

I couldn't resist including these glossy red Hunter's. They remind me of a big red glossy lipstick kiss. All of the WAGS of the golfer's at the 2015 Ryder Cup team received these cute boots as a part of their uniform.

I adore the combination of matte grey and tan on these Sperry Walker Fog Rain Boot. This colour is called Charcoal, but they are also available in black and taupe. I think these could really up your rain boot game. They have a micro fleece lining so are perfect for cool Spring and Fall days.

You can't go wrong with a classic duck boot. The Saltwater Quilted Duck Boot from Sperry is a must for wet weather, especially is you're walking through muddy trails with your pup.
